Don't Poison your self by pouring bleach down your drain before you go to bed.

Someone posted this bad advice on the Internet and I think people should be made aware to be very cautious of whom they take advice from as some of these advice givers may end up killing someone
". Try this. Tonight before you go to bed pour 1/2 gallon of bleach down the shower drain and let it set overnight."
Above is the advice given and below is my response
WHOA there, Hello are you sure you want to give this advice?
Please double check this advice as I am sure you really do not want to be held responsible for your posting. telling someone

All I have to say is before using bleach or other chemicals it is a great idea to ask a Master plumber what they would suggest and then if they are responsible they would point you into this direction

Plumbing and the misuse of chemicals do cause serious illness / blindness and even death.
When in doubt call your local licensed master plumber and if you do use chemicals and then decide to contact a plumbing contractor please tell them what you used, how much and when.
This profession is dangerous enough without having to worry what caustic chemicals someone may have placed in their drainage system.
