If you have zone valves check to see if
they are open. All zone valves have some kind of lever you can slide to put the
zone valve on manual. Honeywell have a lever near the bottom of the zone valve ,
Taco have a lever along side the three screws that pulls down. if the lever can
be pushed from one end to the other with out much resistance it is open if there
is resistance they are closed.

Ok Now check the circulator pump. This can
get tricky. You may be able to hear the pump running (this does not
mean it is working correctly.) (Warning A Pump Can Be Hotter then the
pipes) You may Have to check to make sure power is going to the pump. remove
cover on pump and see if wires are hot. If you are not sure you can do this with
out getting shocked, STOP AND CALL A PROFESSIONAL!!!

Yes I hear the pump running
Ok Just because you hear the pump running does not mean it is
working. but lets assume that it is for now.
First turn the power to the boiler off. and put all the zone valves to the
manual position. You should have some kind of set up like this.
Turn the valve
before the boiler drain off. Put a hose on the boiler drain and turn the boiler
drain on.
What is coming out of
the hose?
I got just a little bit of water then it
stopped Finished
Yes I am getting air and water out of the hose Finished
I am getting just water out of the hose.
Finished
No I can't tell if the pump Is running
or not.
Try turning the power on and off to see if there is a difference.
You should be able to hear it start and stop. Note If you have
Taco zone Valves it can take 2 full minutes for the pump to start.
Remember you said you have power to the pump. If you do not have power
to the pump you have made a wrong turn restart the
trouble shooter.
I do not hear any change
I hear a click but I do not hear the
pump.
Note: If you have Taco zone valves you may need to wait 2 minutes
before you hear any thing.
If you hear a click or not. If you have power to the pump and you can not hear it running it probably needs to be replaced please replace pump.

Yes it Is Flowing Now
Ok make sure the zone valves are open
and there are no other valves on that loop closed.
If you are sure no other valves are closed and the zone valve is fully open, the line may be froze or broken under ground Stop And Call a plumber.
