| Other things to note about the Gerber faucet The old faucets and the old old faucets had both hot and cold water stems turning left to open and right to close, the newer faucets, (the last 15 years I think) have the hot and cold stems turning in opposite directions. I think it is the hot that turns to the right to open and the left to close, I may have it backwards. This type of faucet is not allowed in new construction because new codes require balance control and scald guard features, these Gerber faucets do not have them. But there is a large collection of Gerber faucets with scald guard and balance control on the market now. |
