WARNING soldering in a tight place like this is very dangerous, I'm very good at what I do,  I keep a fire extinguisher at arms length and a squirt bottle fill of water. Even with these precautions A fire can be started that I would not be able to put out. if an ember dropped to the floor behind the tub or shower unit and ignited wood shavings that are on the floor left by drilling holes, I would not be able to extinguish the fire. There are other possible potential fire hazards. It is best to have a Licensed Master Plumber replace your faucet for you,
